Working Out and Healthy Eats

It's back to the gym today. After recovering from that damn flu, I am all good to go! Boy is this going to majorly suck!

Anyhow, I did stairs for 25 minutes with breaks every 10. That definitely broke out major sweats. Hahaha. My heart was put to hard work. I could feel it bumping outta my chest! It was hard stuff, but I totally toughed it out. Meanwhile, Jeric took forever to find an available treadmill. It was super crowded. But at least he was only running 2 miles. So by the time I finished, he was done.

As far as strength workouts, we both did abs today. Finally! It's been a long while since I've done abs. And doing it after major cardio burn? So much harder! At least I held my ground and didn't fail. As for Jeric? That's a whole other story. Hahaha. He kept failing half through sets. Still, he finished just the same. Actually, I'd like to retract my "didn't fail" statement. Hahaha, I totally forgot that I failed doing Mason Twists! Whoops! But that was more due to the fact that there wasn't enough cushion to support my bony butt! LOL.

After p90 abs, Jeric wanted a basketball game, so we went to the gym and he waited to get into a game.
While waiting for a game, he was shooting around. Eventually he took bets with me for 3 pointers from the side. Of course, I took those bets! Each bet was for 5 derp doodie dutie days! And at this point, he still owed me 4. And so it went. First shot.. MISS!! that's 9 days! Second shot.. double or nothing.. MISS! MWahahahahaha! 14 days!! I should've quit while I was ahead. But nope, I got greedy! Hahaha. And so he bet 5 days and he made it! Grrrrr. Down to 9. He bet 5 more and I took it. Made it! back down to 4. And then he went one more! And I took the stupid bait in hopes that he's due for another miss. But nope, he
made it! UGH! Now I owe him 1 day! NOOOOO! THE HORROR! And that was it. He got pulled into a game right after that. Ugh!

As for his game. He played decently. No hustle tho! I think if his legs weren't dead and he hustled, they probably woulda won the game. He did have some awesome plays tho. Stole the ball and scored! Bet that felt good! In the end though, their team lost. 8-13. Bummer!

After basketball, I was supposed to work on arms, but I was just way way too pooped to get back in the action. So we headed home.

But first, a stop at our local grocery store. We were in search of something healthy to cook. Jeric thought of tilapia. And so we checked out the meat and fish section. There weren't any fresh pieces, but there was frozen ones. We also bought some Mrs Dash No Salt Seasoning!

Chef Jeric got to work in the kitchen. I only helped him chop up onions and carrots. I must say, the dish was smelling amazing! As far as taste goes, even better!! It was melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness!! Good job hubby! He also had the great idea of tossing the carrot slices into the George Foreman grill and that was also a bright idea! They came out tasting a little bit sweet. This meal is keeper!

Meal of the day? Pan seared tilapia!
