So, it has changed to Claws (a very good second choice, I might say)
The girls also talked about having it as a surprise for the soon-to-be parents, Kevin & Nina. We were gonna get them a cake and a little gift and surprise them at dinner. But baby Nico had other plans. Plans to meet the world! Nina's water broke yesterday morning and she went straight into labor and baby Nico was born not too long after!
Congratulations Kevin and Nina!! You guys were definitely missed at dinner! As were the Texans, Eric and Yrel.
Claws was nice and chill. The food was delicious as always. Me and Jeric only ordered a pound total of shrimp. Weird enough, it totally filled us up!
Afterwards, we all headed to 7 Leaves, which is this little coffee & tea shop that only had 7 major drinks! They had this one called mung bean milk tea, which the homie's described to be like buko pandan. I wanted to get the drink, but since it probably has a taste of coconut even tho there actually isn't coconut in it. And Jeric is not a fan of coconut. So instead, we tried out Gen's drink. I liked it, Jeric did not. Hahaha. So we opted for the 7 Leaves Iced Coffee Instead.
 | The funny part? We both expected the whipped cream to be.. well, like regular whipped cream. We totally didn't read the description. Had we read it, we probably would've shaken the drink to mix it well! Because when the drink was practically done and when we lifted the straw to suck up the good ol' whipped cream, we had WTF faces! Because WTF is that?? LOL! Seriously, it tasted like it was rotten or just gross. Why? Because it was super salted and we were SOOO not expecting that! LOL! Darn, it probably would've been super delicious had we mixed it all up. Oh well, good to know for next time! Anthony, Karen and Reese headed home and so did Mark and Jenn. The rest of us ended up at casa Calderon for the late night showing of... Think Like a Man, Act Like a Lady. Gotta say, that Kevin Hart, funny as hell! |
