California Fish Grill On Friday During Lent Is a Bad Idea

For lunch, me, Jenn and Gen all decided to get some fish or shrimp tacos from California Fish Grill. The restaurant wasn't too far from my office, so that was nice and convenient. But, the thing is, it's Friday and it's Lent, which means EVERYONE is gonna be there since we can't eat meat today. Gen and Jenn got there before I did and since the line was long, they actually called me and got my order and by the time I got there, Gen was finishing up paying and Jenn was sitting a booth she reserved. So, not bad timing.

Since I saw Gen first, me and her walked around after she payed and saw that there were tables available that weren't near the doorway, which was where Jenn was holding our table. We thought it better to not sit near the doorway since a ton of people were waiting in line there.

Anyhow, we all ordered 2 shrimp tacos, except Jenn's was the meal. Hahaha. The tacos were delish, but I think they seemed way more healthier than the one's from Rubios. I like Rubios better though. Guess it's the fatty fats that make it more tasty. I believe it has something to do with the sauce.


Anyhow, it did take a long time for us to get our food because of the crazy lunch rush and then, it being Lent on top of that. Plus, there wasn't really anything around us where we could hang out afterwards. So, kinda sucky. There wasn't any boba place nearby either. Ugh. I guess it's kinda a good thing though since I'm trying to cut back on boba. (We'll see how long that lasts.)

Gen and Jenn were off to the Sanrio store after. I wanted to go too, but it wasn't nearby and not really easy to commute to by freeway from where we were. Plus, I had to run a few errands before finally making it back to work. I had to pick up our dry cleaning, deposit my paycheck and then by some food for my Mom. All places were along the way to work, that's why I decided to run the errands on my lunch. That way I don't have to drive back, especially for the dry cleaning.

Anyways, that was our lunch. And never again will I eat at California Fish Grill on a Friday for lunch during Lent. Hahaha.
