The worst part.. when I got home.. the Derpson greeted me with heavy panting and a super duper red face!
I thought he was just hot.. so I immediately took him to our room and turned on the ac. But then.. as I was snapchatting him to Jeric, I saw crazy huge hives all over his back leg!
I called Jeric, and luckily he came home right then and there because I wouldn't have been able to carry Derp to take him to the vet.
We wanted to take him to Dr. Butchko, but they were closed already, so we settled for La Palma Vet Hospital, which was down the street. They were closing at 6, so we called them, and they said if we could make it before 6 we'd be fine. We totally barely made it!
Anyways, we all thought it was just a really bad allergic reaction again, but way worse than the chili pepper tree incident. But still, the vet wanted to do a skin scraping for his own peace of mind. He didn't even charge us for it. I am glad he did though because he found out that poor Derpson has Mange!!!!
We had to leave the poor Derpson there for a few hours so that he can get an IV drip and shots for the Mange.
After we picked him up.. all he did was sleep. But he totally looked sooo much better than when we dropped him off. Phew!
His face was puffy, red, missing hair, and bumps all over. Now, his face is clear, back to his regular color, free of bumps, and he no longer looked like his hair was falling off!
For the rest of the night.. Derpson slept.. I did laundry.. and Jeric watched TV.
