Pho Tasty

After lunch and saying our goodbyes to Anthony, Karen and Reese, me and Jeric headed back home. He had to get ready for band practice and I had to get ready and head over to meet up with Gen for some photobook creation.

I relaxed a bit at home first before heading out. It was kinda a hot day again, that's why. Anyhow, when I got there, we set up and got to work. She was making a vacation book and I was making a baby Derp book.

Alex was there too, he was playing some COD while we girls got tech crafty.

After an hour or so, we all were kinda hungry. They decided to take me out to Pho Tasty. I thought I've been here before, but when I saw the place, nope, never been.

When we parked, I did notice an ex co-worker/owner, Gene, a few cars down. I didn't mind if they spotted us. She was also the one who's daughter danced at our wedding and then had a debut recently, where I helped make her place cards.

They didn't seem to see me though, or at least Gene didn't. Her daughter probably doesn't remember me. And from the looks of it, she saw me, but didn't do a double take. So, at least no awkward hellos! Hahaha.

As for the food. We all ordered the same thing. Except me and Gen ordered beef and Alex ordered pork. I also ordered a mango slush.

The mango slush was good, but not very mango-y. The pho was very different from what I'm used to. It wasn't really a soup. There was broth, but it was only enough to flavor the dish and slightly dampen it. But despite the differences from what I was used to, I got to say, I really loved it! It was more refreshing and good for hot weather, where a soupy bowl of pho would've been a bit too hot for the weather. Good stuff!

Afterwards, we headed back to the house. Alex took Kona for a walk while me and Gen continued on the photo books. We also tried watching Newsroom, but that was a bit of a fail. The TV was having issues reading the USB stick. Hahaha. Once Alex got back though, it totally worked! What the heazy! LOL.

We ended the night with some major progress. I finished a cute little 5x7 book for baby Derp and Gen got a good 17 pages done on her vacation book!

We also finished the first two eppy's of Newsroom. I'm actually on eppy 6, but I totally don't mind re-watching earlier episodes. They're that good!

Oh, funny thing, there was a really bad smell that seemed to increase as we sat there working. And I was like, it's either Kona or Alex. Hahaha. Alex said he did not toot. So it must've been Kona. LOL. And the thing is, we all thought she was just dirty. But the funny thing is, it wasn't even her fault or even her. Her water bottle sipper was actually leaking and it leaked onto the bed and the wet bed is what we were smelling! Hahahaha. Hilarious stuff! They wouldn't have even thought of that if she didn't start licking her bed. LOL!
