Anyhow, the day started out nice and sunny, but that didn't last long at all. It was totally over cast!
Every now and then though, we'd get a bit of sunshine! And that was always nice.
We just spent the whole day relaxing, eating, and hanging out. I actually stuck to my healthy eats and brought my own food. Hahaha. I don't know how I did it, but I managed to refuse the tasty ribs, grilled corn, popeyes chicken, and scrumptious fried wontons!
My dad brought his kite along, which wasn't your average kite. It was like one of those old small planes! Anyhow, my dad and all the boys worked together and got the pretty kite up in the air.
They had the plane dive bomb a few times too. But then, the plane angled wrong and totally dive bombed. Right. Into. The Ocean! Hahahaha. They were able to get it out, dry it off, and have it back up and flying though.
We stayed there all the way until they had the fireworks show, which wasn't exactly in our area. Fireworks were banned in Corona Del Mar. However, we could totally see the show they had, which looked like it was out in Newport Beach and there was also a show in Laguna Beach that we could see easily!
After that, we cleaned up and headed home! Was a lot of fun and nice and relaxing too.
