As for their theme, they all had "Keep Calm and Chive On" shirts!

This is also their before picture. Haha.
Me and Sir Jeric..

And soo the boys were off, while us girls and baby Nico hung out. We went walking around to stake out a place where we can see a few of the obstacles the boys have to do. We basically found a spot at the end of the race and there were two obstacles where we got front row seats in. One was Wrecking Ball and the other was World's Largest Inflatable Slide, which I'll show you later! Hahaha. Funny thing though, we totally thought we spotted the boys like 20 minutes later. A group of guys wearing the same Chive shirts! LOL. But they totally weren't our boys. Moded! That's when we checked around and did some reconnaissance. The girls found out that the obstacle course was crazy. People were waiting roughly 15 minutes for some obstacles! And there were 16 obtacles. So, you do the math.. Yah, we knew we had a long wait.
Anyhow, we were all pretty dang hungry, so we decided to walk around and scout for some food. We did get a free mango flavored coconut water drink, which tasted pretty good. It's called Zico. While drinking our dranks.. we walked around to see what they were selling and for how much. And boy oh freaking boy! Everything was expansave!!! Like dayam.. $9! No thanks mang. We were hungry, but not hungry enough to shell out $9 for food that should cost like $2-$3???
![]() | So that was it for walking around. After seeing those prices, we decided to just wait til the boys are done and then we all can go out to eat. At least while waiting we got to watch cutie Nico. :D After sitting around for awhile, I don't know why we got up to look around, but we did. And it's a good thing too. Because we spotted the green shirts again. And this time, it was really our boys! No fake out this time. | ![]() |
There was a bit of a scare when we saw the boys though. They just finished this obstacle called World's Largest Bounce House and apparently one of them got injured! One of them was on the floor with the rest of them surrounding. They were kinda far so it took us awhile for us to figure out who it was. Well, it turned out that Jason, Mark and Jenn's Brother-In-Law, twisted his ankle while bouncing. I guess when he was about to land another person was lifting off from a bounce and that caused a bad landing, which messed up his ankle. And we were all wondering what he would do for the next obstacle, the Wrecking Ball one. Because you have to walk across a cylindrical beam, which was right above water, and with two ginormous inflatable "wrecking balls" coming at you. And not only would a cylindrical beam be hard to walk across, but the water also made it way slippery!
It was serious stuff. We were watching this obstacle course for awhile earlier and we saw that maybe 95% of the people that went through totally failed and when someone made it across, there was a huge roar of cheers from the crowd!
Anyhow, here are the boys and how they fared! Mwahaha..
Alex

Kevin

Dexter

Jeric

Mark

And here's Jason...who we all thought would have to just get into the water slowly and then walk across because of his ankle..Not only did he try...

But he was the ONLY one to make it all the way!!!

That totally deserved some high-fives!

Here are the boys on the World's Largest Inflatable Slide..

Congrats boys!! What a fun way to end a race!
When the boys were done we met up with them and were on our way.. but not before Dexter and Jeric tried this challenge to win tickets to, what seems like a harder marathon..
Dexter's try..

Jeric's try..

They both failed.. nice try boys!
And the end...

The after pic!
