Mother's Day DIY

I'm making some cute simple gifts for Mother's Day for Mom Mostajo and Mom Samoza.

Succulents are all the rage these days, so what better than a cute arrangement in a mason jar. It's fairly simple to create.

Supplies:
 Pebbles
 Mason jars
2 or 3 different types of succulents
Potting soil (there should be one specifically for succulents)

These are the succulents I picked.
Crassula Perforata VariegataCrassula Perforata
String of Buttons
Sedum Rubrotinctum
Sedum Pork and Beans
Sedum Robrotinctum 'Aurora'
Steps:

1. Place a good amount of pebbles into the bottom of your mason jar. Probably about a few inches tall would be sufficient enough. This is to ensure that if you add too much water, it drains into the bottom where the pebbles are, which helps with making sure you don't flood your succulents, which will cause them to rot.

2. Add in the soil, but not all the way to the top.

3. Now you'll need to remove the succulents from their tiny pot and separate them, making sure to crumble off as much of the soil from the roots.

4. Once you're all done with that, you can begin potting them. Just select whatever variation you'd like for your arrangement.

5. The final step is to add some pebbles over the soil and around the succulents.

Tada! (I had a ton of extras so I decided to make one for myself).
