Zoë's Day at Grandma's House

I've finally reached a point where I could get up early enough to be able to take Zoë over to my parent's house. My mom has been waiting for this day, that's for sure! Last night, I decided I'd definitely try. I didn't call my mom to let her know though. I thought I'd play it by ear and see what time I woke up in the morning.

Originally, I planned to get up at 6:30, but that didn't happen. My alarm only ended up waking up Zoë and when that happens she just wants to eat and go back to sleep. So I fed her, with the full intention of getting up once she slowly drifted off into sleep. But I fell back asleep with her. Jeric leaves around 7, so when he left, that's when I got my lazy butt up. I went into full on "chicken-without-a-head" mode. Got ready super quick! I figured all her stuff was ready... boy was I wrong! Her diaper bag was pretty much all set. But I forgot to add a bit more clothes, because you just never know. And then I was like, oh shit! I need to pack her milk.. and the bottles.. and some blankets! I even had to rummage the fridge to find something for breakfast. I found this bfast bar thing I tried to make, but I wasn't totally feeling it. It's uber sweet! That was when my mom texted me to ask if I was bringing Zoë there. Hahaha. How did she know? I know we always talked about it, but I never said I was starting today. Lol. Maybe it was wishful thinking on her part. Anyhow, that got me to ask her if she could make me eggs for bfast. :) Woot woot! Score!

Zoë's face is priceless. She was probably like, Mommy, what the heck are you doing running around all over the place? Lol!

I was just about ready, but then I forgot.. TOYS! Zoë needs toys! And finally, we were out the door! Despite all the crazyness I still managed to get to my mom's on time. That was when it was time to say bye. As hard as that was, I did it and made my way to work!

First day of taking her over.. a success!

Oh, I also told Jeric to leave some toys, half the bottles, and the bag of wipes at my mom's when he picks Zoë up. That way I don't have to always worry about forgetting those. Definitely a good idea since I'm so forgetful. Ahhhh, Mommy Brain!
