Me, Gen and Joan hit up Glen Ivy to celebrate Joan's Birthday and mine. This was my first time at an outdoor spa, we want to the one in Corona. Gotta say. I am never going back to indoor again! Lol *spoiled*
The line to get in was a bit crazy.. It was like waiting a line for a ride at Disneyland! And we didn't get it. The service/check-in counter was right there, yet it still took mad forever. And when we asked all the lady could say was that people are asking questions and whatever other excuse she could throw out. Oh well. Bout 30 min later we were inside!
First stop? The body temp pool cuz it was way cold and I can't dip more than my legs in any of the jacuzzis.
The body temp pool was fun. But then it got super duper chilly so we checked out other spots. But first.. Gen and Joan stopped for a mixed/iced drink. I had me hot cocoa. And we all had bags of chips.
After we headed to try out the hot springs. Again. I was only allows to dip my legs. Haha. That was still relaxing though. It stank like hard boiled eggs tho. Hahaha. Still worth it!
After we hit up the large jacuzzi and chilled there for a good while. Relaxing and chatting.. That's the life! Instill sat on the ledge with my legs in. Luckily the sun was out so it wasn't cold.
Then we headed to the ultimate lounge pool. It was just me and Joan at first. We got out floating rafts and headed into the 1foot pool and layed out drifting! Haha. Eventually, with awesome paddling skills, we made our way to each other.. Linked our rafts (aka Joan held onto mine). And then Gen joined us and it was heaven. Drifting away and chatting! The life!!
We grabbed lunch at the cafe when we got hungry. I had the chicken panini with soup, Joan had apple smoked pork panini with soup and Gen had the turkey burger. We all picked out cookies too. Chocolate chip, chocolate cookie, and lemon.
We leisurely at lunch and had good ol' girly convo. Apparently we were sitting for quite sometime too. I had my back in the sun to keep me warm and then my shoulders started to itch.. So I moved fully into the shade. Well.. When we were done eating.. Joan saw my back. I got burnt. Whoopse! Hahaha.
We also didn't realize what time it was and were very bummed to see the end of our relaxing day closing in.
Luckily we still had time for clay masks! This was also my first time trying it. You walk into a pool about thigh high and walk towards this pillar, which held a huge pile of clay. Then slather the clay all over and the head on out and let the clay "bake". It just hardens. It probably would've been best if it weren't for the semi-cloudy sky and cold wind. At one point it even got super windy!! And on yelped loud enough for a few folks to turn around and laugh. Lol. It was so bad though. Luckily there was a baking room that was enclosed. Eventually we baked and it was time to exfoliate! Just rub rub rub! And then shower off the rest!
That was the end of our lovely birthday spa date!!
Later that night we met up with the rest of the homies for some delish din din at Mr Lees and boba dranks from Tea Station!!
