Happy Halloween

Can't believe it's actually Halloween already. Doesn't really feel like it to be honest. Anyhow, the boys hung out in the garage and gave out candy. I even took Derp outside with his pumpkin costume on!


Meanwhile, I stayed inside and kept cozy while catching up on tv shows. Watched some Grey's, Reign, Nashville and Vampire Diaries! :)

Derpson's New Bed

Derp has been really bad lately. Jumping on and off our bed throughout the night or even barking constantly because he's too tired to jump up and wants one of us to lift him! TSK!

And then.... early this morning, we found him on the floor, on top of one of our comforters (it was on the floor cuz it needs to be washed). It wasn't just like he plopped down on it either. Nope, he fixed it and formed it into a cute little circle for him to lay in!

That's when we knew... this boy needs a bed!

Right after work, we headed out to Costco and bought him one!

He totally loves it!!

Orders In the Mail

Yey! When we got home we saw 3 packages on the doorstep! All from H&M!! 2 are Jeric's and 1 is mine. I also still have 1 on its way! :)

I LOOOVVEEE receiving packages in the mail. It's almost like Christmas.

We totally shopped online because there was a sale and then 51% off of highest price with 20% extra on the entire order if you spend $50 or more. So we both had 2 orders of $50!

Jeric got two pairs of jeans, a cardi, and a beanie. All for $70.

As for me, I got one of those bandeau bra's, a LBD, a blazer (these are this order), another dress, and two knit sweaters (can't wait to get these).

GOOO LAKERS!!

Originally I had plans to eat dinner with old co-workers. But since I was sick, I had to stay home. Not all bad though. Not at all!

I got to watch the season opener!! Lakers VS Clippers! WOOT!

I even made a bet against Jeric for 10 DDD's! He currently has 14 days.

Well, what a game! It was neck-n-neck for the most part. And then came the fourth quarter and it was done! :) Lakers whooped boot-aye!


Take that Jeric!! 24 days!! Pwahahaha.

Ugh, SICK!

Was feeling yuck at work today. I actually started having a sore throat near the end of the day.

So right when we got off work, we headed to the supermarket and grabbed me medicine and soup!

Got some Mucinex and Halls!


As for soup, can't go wrong with Progresso!

Paletas Paleta Paletas!

After dinner we all drove over to this Paletas shop, which was recommended by Gen!

If you don't know, Paletas are basically popsicles, but better!

We all went in and wow, just WOW! Look at all the flavors!


Jeric was the only one that didn't want anything, but he did have a bite of mine of course.

I ordered myself a Strawberries with Cream!

Dinner with Homies

It's been ages since all of the homies have gotten together. And thanks to Nina, we finally did! :)

We all met up at Brown Rice in Cypress for dinner. It's a Chinese restaurant and it's a la cart. When me and Jeric arrived, we thought we were the first ones there, but actually Karen, Anthony and Reesey were in the car.


Anyhow, me and Jeric went inside. The hostess asked if we were there for the large group that just called for a reservation. Yup, that was us. Anyhow, she wanted to know if we wanted the party room, which came with the 18% gratuity, yah, we're gonna pass lady.

So, she sat us in the normal dining area.

And then, slowly, everyone else started to trickle in! And before you knew we were ordering errythang! Hahaha.

Here's some of what we ordered..

Egg soup, tofu & eggplant, chicken curry, house special noodles, and steak.

We also had walnut shrimp and a few other dishes that I can't remember.

Most of the food was super delicious. The chicken curry was super intense, but some of us loved it that way. Me, not so much. Hahaha. The house special noodles attacked people! Hahahaha. The noodles weren't the traditional crispy pan fried thin ones. Nope! They were fat noodles and I guess they were crispy pan fried, because they were sooo stiff! How stiff? Stiff enough to attack everyone's face! LOL. They were all bent and contorted and stuck like that so when you grabbed a fork full and tried to get into your mouth, the noodles would totally be like, well hello there chin.. or cheek, or nose!!

LOL! Anyhow, good food, great company and lots of fun!!

Although, not so much at the end. The lady tried to charge us gratuity and then got all cray because the tea wasn't included and it had to be paid for. Chill lady!! Your fault for not including it on the bill in the first place!

Brunch & Shopping

We got an order of Vans shoes for Jeric that were the wrong size so we went to Buena Park Mall to go exchange them. While we were there, Jeric went to check out GNC for supplements. But the store was locked with a sign "Back in 10 minutes". Never gonna really know how long that will be, so we decided to go eat first and then come back.

We went to Portillo's, which is in the same shopping complex, but not actually in the mall. We each ordered a shredded pork sandwich. Jeric had his French dipped and I had mine with extra gravy. And then we had a side of fries. Yummm!


After brunch, we headed back to the mall and Jeric checked out GNC. It's cheaper online though, so he ended up not buying anything there.

Meanwhile, I had my $20 off $50 coupon for DSW so, of course, we MUST stop by! Well, I've been in search for a cute care of laced up boots. Well, look no further!! They have some!! YEY!

Chris Bday Celebration

After Bella's Costume Ball we headed over to my parent's house to celebrate Chris' birthday! His actual birthday is tomorrow, but he has major plans already, so we celebrate with him tonight!

Sadly, we were very late for this party as well because being late to Bella's Ball pushed us later for Chris' birthday.

Anyhow, my parent's cooked some good food! My dad's famous marinated Korean BBQ, lupia, vegetable eggrolls, and palabok! YUMMM!

We spent the rest of the night playing games! There was mahjong, but too many of us so someone was always subbing in. We did play memory. Yup, that's right! Memory! As in the card game where you place all the cards face down and have to match pairs! We all put $2 in each for a large pool. My mom ended up winning! Hahaha. Gotta say, I'm usually good at this game, but with all the chaos and craziness and loud voices, I could not retain where cards were! LOL.

Jeric had to leave a bit later. He needed to be Ivan & Patrick's DD. But I stayed because I totally wanted to play! Hahaha!

Unfortunately he left too early! Because Chris totally introduced us to his new girlfriend!! She got there a bit after Jeric left. It's okay, I'm sure he'll meet her someday.

For the rest of the night, there was more mahjong and then me, Chris, and his girlfriend (Channel) played memory! Me and Chris tied. Hahaha. And we both retained more since it wasn't so boisterous! LOL.

Since we tied, we totally went one on one, but with a fun game of speed!! I lost! BOOOOO!!!

Then, the 5 of us, Brian, Ivon, Me, Chris, and Channel all played a game of Catan! Yah, I lost there too! I have yet to win! Grrrrrr!


While playing, Channel was whispering something to Chris. We jokingly accused them of making an alliance and cheating us. Hahahaha. But it turned out it was because it was midnight and she was wishing him a happy birthday. She kept it on the low low because he was like.. shhhhh.. because he didn't want us to embarrass him! Hahaha Too little too late brother!

We started with the "28 punches/pinches for your birthday!!" And the pitiks hahahaha. And my dad even made him a cake! One piece of puto! HAHAHAHA! Love it!

Bella's Costume Ball

Today's Bella's Costume Ball. She's our niece from Jeric's side and for her birthday, she's having a costume ball!

She's totally dressed up as Belle too! And her dad is the Beast! Hahaha. So cute. Her mom is the Evil Queen and her brother is a dinosaur. He wasn't feeling too good though, so he didn't dress up all the way.

We got there kinda late though, but still in time for major festivities and watching her blow out her cake!

Her cake's a ginormous cupcake with a castle topper. Cute!!


Happy Birthday Bella!

Too Mach Pasghetti!!

I was super duper hungry today. Instead of going out and buying something Jeric cooked me spaghetti! He decided to make enough for everyone too. The thing is.. he totally put a whole packet of noodles in the pot. And when he told me so, I thought it was fine. But little did I know it was an entire package from COSTCO!!! LOL!! Waaaaayyy too much noodles! LMAO


Looks like pasghetti for days! Hahahaha.

Still, it was way delicious! Thanks for cooking for me!! And your brothers too of course! :)

Lunch Break!

I totally forgot to mention, me and Jeric work together! So today, we had lunch outside! We just went to panda and each got a panda bowl. Half & half with orange chicken! YUMMM

Home Made Mac 'n Cheese Take 2

Whaaale.. gotta say, I did not nail it! In fact, I made it worse! I mean, it does look way delicious. Very creamy.

I skipped out on the breadcrumbs this time too.

Butttt.. I overcompensated for lack of salt with the first batch. So much so, that it was just dis-GUSTING!

I forced myself to eat a bowl because I needed to satisfy my hunger. And then just tossed the rest in the trash.

UGH!

Too Early or Too Lazy?

I woke up at a decent time this morning. Not as early as I'd like to, but good enough to get stuff done and ready for work.

Jeric and Derpson though? Not so much! Jeric kept hit snooze and Derpson transferred onto our bed! Hahaha. And after getting my hair presentable for work.. this is what I walk in on.

Simpsons Tapped Out: Th 4th Community Prize

Woohoo! Got the 4th community prize today. Which is a cute warty looking frog, called the frog prince! No tasks, but he does talk to you when you squish him. LOL. Had to reach 20 billion for that one.

Got to add him to my set of "Treehouse of Horros XXIV", which is totally complete now! YEY!


Can't wait to get the 5th and final community prize! It looks like a building, but we'll see.

They also ran an update and I leveled up! WOOT!

Shopping Time

We wanted to walk around Mainplace Mall with the Derpson. Of course, there was an H&M and I was still in search for burgundy jeans. So I totally went shopping! Hahaha.

After walking the mall, Derpson was soo tired. Jeric had to carry him. Hahaha.

First Day Back to Work!

Started working at The Matthews Company with Jeric today!

I had to get up a bit early though so that I can clean up in the morning before heading to work.

Anyhow, my day started ubber slow because my computer wasn’t quite setup yet. This is my work area

though. Brand new comp with a nice wide screen monitor, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse!

Sweet!



The tech was doing updates and such remotely. That wasn’t too bad and only was until maybe 15-20

minutes after I started working. But then he restarted the system and it ran 3 Microsoft updates. But

oh man! It totally hung on the 3rd one for like forever.

So the tech guy was scheduled to come in and fix it. Plus there was software incompatibility issues with

the server that he needed to resolve as well.

Meanwhile, I did absolutely nothing!

I did have bfast! Good ol’ oatmeal.



The tech guy finally fixed everything and I was good to go at 11:45am!

My Mom's Famous Casserole

So I finally am going to learn exactly how to cook my mom's eggplant casserole. It's my fav and Jeric loves it too! So, definitely a must learn for when we have our own place.

You start off with a nice plump eggplant. Cut it into slices and steam it.


Then, you brown your ground beef, add seasoning, and then cook it thoroughly.


Now for your sauce mixture. Which uses milk, cottage cheese, eggs, and butter.


It's a two part sauce mix.


Then you layer the meat and eggplant with sprinkles of parmesan cheese after every layer of eggplant and top if off with mixture.

Tada!


And then bake it 350 for 45 minutes to an hour.

YUMMM!

Last Day Off

Today is officially the last day of unemployment for me. Jeric's boss, Kate, wants me to work for them! And the pay is very close to my last job! WOOHOO!

I actually got this other job too, but the pay was lower. And right when I was ready to start at that job, Jeric's boss emailed me and wanted to talk about joining The Matthews Company FT! I did do side jobs for her, so she knows my work ethic. I told her that I had another job that hired me, but when I told her that it was less than expected, she said she could offer me more! Sweet!

That was all on Friday. And I was supposed to start that other job on Monday, but I am kinda glad I rejected it for this job. I would've had to start at 7am! Which meant, waking up at 5:30!! No thanks!

Soo, as of tomorrow, me and Jeric work together! Should be fun! Hahaha.

Anyhow, for my last day off, I definitely need to finish up laundry. No more laundry during the daytime at a super leisurely pace. LOL.

I will definitely miss sleeping in or sleeping all the way til 12! Hahahaha. But having a job again and getting paid good is way more important! Plus I was heading down the lazy road. So, it's good to get back before I fall deeply into the lazy routine. :)

Anyhow, for the rest of the day, I'm heading to my parent's house to hang out, help my mom with something, and learn how to cook her Eggplant Casserole! (More on that later).

I'm also heading out with the girls for one of the few last Barre Fitness classes.

Cooking My Own Batch of Mac N Cheese

I was totally craving mac n' cheese today. So I decided to try cooking a batch myself, rather than using the boxed ones with the powdered milk and cheese.

Found an easy recipe online. The ingredients are quite simple, shredded cheese, processed cheese, macaroni, and half & half.


Cook the macaroni like you would with any other kinda of noodle. Boiling water and constantly stirring.


Drain the macaroni and then put it back into the pot, add the shredded cheese, half & half and processed cheese. I only used kraft singles because our Ralphs totally didn't have Velveeta processed cheese.

We added a little bit more to the recipe. Jeric made bread crumbs by placing slices of bread into the blender and then we topped the mac n' cheese with that.


I looked up online and saw that you should broil the dish in the oven for 5 minutes in order to toast the crumbs on top of the mac n' cheese.

Tada! Home made mac n' cheese!


The results? Well.. there were far too many bread crumbs! Hahaha. Guess we weren't supposed to pile it on. And the actual mac n' cheese? Pretty bland. I didn't add enough salt.

Oh well, I'll still eat it!

Simpsons Tapped Out: Awesome Mystery Box Prize!!

Okay, so in TSTO, everyday you click on the daily prize and after going 5 days straight, you get a mystery box. Normally the mystery box prizes are crap. Like a tree, a parking lot, a mailbox, etc. But not this time! In fact, by far the BEST prize EVERY!

I got a freaking character!! Which is totally worth 30 donuts!! Donuts are used to buy special things in the game, but are soo hard to come across. They can be purchases with real money, but not gonna go down that road.

New Show New Music

Started watching a new show from the CW today, Reign. It seems like a cute show about Mary, princess of Scotland, and Francis, prince of France.
I love date shows, like Downton Abbey. Reign is sort of a show like that, except it’s got modern flare to it and appeals to teens of course. So, you know the actors and actresses will all be ones that wont really depict how they looked back then. It’s kinda like any tv show or movie about some princess and prince and love triangles, drama, and what not, except with the background of a different era.

I already love the girl playing princess Mary. As for the prince, not too shabby.

The music is as good as any other CW show, which I love because I loooove finding new songs and the CW always has some really good ones!

One of the new songs I found off of Reign, The Lumineers’ Charlie Boy. It’s my new fav.

Conjuring a Villain

Headed out to Disneyland today. I wanted to take a look at the "Conjuring a Villain" tent that we didn't get to look at last time. Especially since it'll be ending soon!

Before hand though, we stopped by California Adventure for some lobster nachos! I'll definitely miss these when our pass expires.


As for Conjuring a Villain, that line was way long! I think we stayed there for thirty minutes? Was it worth it? I think so.

You basically go into this room with a group of people..


and then they pick someone from the crowd to wave the magic wand over the cauldron while the rest of us chant the spell.. and then *FLASH* *CRASH* *BOOM* a villain appears!

We got the Evil Queen. But we were really hoping for Jafar! Bummer. It was pretty cool because it was like personal time with the Evil Queen! But the downside? The line was waaay long for pictures because of the interaction with all the guests. Also.. we spotted Chip and Dale in the cutest soldier outfits outside! And we wanted a pic with them.

Since we were last in line, I went to see how long they were gonna be out there for. Sadly they were heading on out. :( So, we stayed in line for the Evil Queen. We were seriously thinking of ditching the Evil Queen for Chip and Dale. LOL

Snow Monster.. Maybe a New Spot for Dessert?

I wanted to try a salted caramel macaroon. So we looked up yelp spots. Jeric found Snow Monster, which is actually a place he saw off of instagram a while back. We just totally forgot about wanting to try that spot out.

We're here today though!


They had a huge salted caramel macaroon, so I totally ordered that. Jeric picked the waffle and ice cream.

The macaroon was meh. Barely a hint of salted caramel flavor and it was a bit too sweet. The waffle and ice cream wasn't too bad, but maybe tasted like it might be stale-ish.

Dunno about the spot. Maybe we'll have to try it again some time.

Late Lunch

Late starte equals late lunch. We headed out and ran some errands first and then since we were in Brea, we decided to grab Bruxie for lunch!

They had the bbq pulled pork as a special, so I got that and Jeric ordered chicken and waffles, which came with a cute Bruxie bottle of maple syrup! And we had their strawberry lemonade to quench the thirst.

Food Trucks.. At It Again!

It's Friday and we're hungry.. you know what that means! Food Truck Fridays!

After walking back and forth checking out the trucks, we finally decided on the burgers from Sexy Burger again. We each got our own cowgirl burger.


They had a crepe truck, so that ended up being our dessert! Nutella crepe with with vanilla ice cream. Yummm!


Derp was with us too and got some of the delicious burger!

Target Run

Ran out of cereal, so headed out to Target for a new box!
This time, tried out the boo berry flavor.


While I was there I totally spotted the jacket that I saw at the Target in LV. So I bought it! Hahaha.


It'll go nice with my camel boots! Can't wait for it to start getting chilly!

Fembody Fitness.. Love These Barre Classes

Running out of time for my groupon for Fembody. It was 10 classes and expires Nov. 1. Sadly, a lot of the homies have been busy or only bought the 5 classes, so today, I had to go by myself. It wasn't bad, but it's just way more fun with the girls!

Anyhow, since it was just me, I decided to go to the closer location out in Huntington Beach. It was also barre on the vert poles. Their studio for vert poles seems a bit smaller than the one in Long Beach. But at least, less people!

All the Gummy Bear Flavors

We finished the first bag of gummy bears super quick! So I went back for more! This time, I bought 2 lbs instead of 1. LOL.

Community reached 13 billion goo today! That means another prize! Woot! It's the 3rd prize out of 5!

It's a Ghost Bomb Tool.


Not really that great of a prize to be honest. I'd rather have a character or building.
Still, it's a bit useful. Basically when your town is filled with ghosts, just use the bomb and they all disintegrate!

I also collected enough goo to get all my personal prizes! WOOHOO!


And I even made enough more to get the Spooktacular Prize! Picked the right box too, 3 donuts! YIPEE!
