Liam & Lucas' 2nd Birthday

My little twin nephews are having a birthday celebration today.

They just had a jumper with a pool in the backyard, which they totally had tons and tons of fun. We didn't bring a swim suit for Zoë though because me and J totally didn't want to get wet and we'd have to if she would. Hahaha.

For the rest of the day, we enjoyed hanging out and had some yummy snow cones!

Now time for cake!

Cute Birth Announcement

My co-worker, Linda, is having a baby! She just left this super cute birth announcement on my desk along with a cupcake. She's so sweet!

Super Mex for Lunch

Went out to lunch for work today with some co-workers. They chose Super Mex and I ordered myself some flautas.

The flats were alright, but definitely nothing like the ones we get from Tacos San Pedro.

DIY: Beginning Fabric Ice Cream Cones

Started putting the fabric ice cream cones together today.

Just need to add the ruffles for the ice cream scoop. Can't wait to see how they all turn out!

A Visit from Auntie Flo

Auntie Flo is visiting from New Jersey and finally met Zoë in person. She was there the day that Zoë was born, but Zoë took forever to come out and Auntie Flo had to fly back before she could meet her. Almost a year later and she gets to hold her!

Angel Stadium Fun

We took the Swiss to an Angels game with the fam bam. We stayed over in the restaurant area opposite home plate and started out by ordering dessert!

Zoë definitely wanted to gobble it all up. Hahaha.

Who wouldn't though? Look at how delicious it looks.

Was a fun time! But, the Angels lost. Hahaha.

Swiss Cousin

Jeric's Swiss cousin, Brian, and his girlfriend came over to visit.

He got to meet Zoë in person and then Zoë hung out with Papa Eric and Ninong Iban while they played guitar.

Watermelon Agua Fresca

With the weather being super warm, I wanted to make a refreshing drink. Since we had a huge watermelon, I decided to make Watermelon Agua Fresca, which is a Mexian fav.

You basically start by dropping a bunch of cubed watermelons into a blender and puree.

Then, you strain it using a sieve and add it all into a pitcher and add in lime juice and sugar.

Then, drop some into a cup and garnish with a slice of watermelon. Tada!

DIY Zoë's 1st Birthday Stuff

Trying to work on some stuff for Zoë's 1st birthday. I bought some stuff that's super easy to just pull from packaging and setup and then I bought some stuff that required more of my crafty experience to assemble.

From bottom left over to the right:

Cloth in cute pink and mint (her color scheme) hues/patterns. These will be transformed into cute parts of cute fabric ice cream cones.

Pink and mint paper card stock. Not sure what I'm going to use these for yet, but maybe will place them on trays and have treats stacked on top. Who knows.

A few boxes of mint and pink with added shades of gold and white paper deco items. These are pretty much easy to just pull out on the day of and assemble straight from the box.

Brown rope and burlap cloth. More parts of the fabric ice cream cones.

Gold Z, O, and E letters. Will display either on her gift table, or dessert table.

Styrofoam balls. These will serve as the ice cream scoops after having cute cloth wrapped around.

Today, I'm going to start off with working on a possible photo backdrop. I purchased a good amount of pink and mint fabric and started off by cutting long strips of them. Zoë wanted to help me sort it all out.

Quite the little helper, right?

Tada! It's finished.

Only took me about 4 hours.
