Celebrating 2 years being married with my best friend, my buddy, the poophead, dookie, one and only, Jeric! Can't believe we've known each other for 15 years! Wouldn't have it any other way, that's for sure! And this year is one of the best since we have our little monkey with us.

I wanted to try this spot,
North Italia, but mainly for their desserts. I wanted to try the Bambolini, which are Italian donuts on top of a layer of meyer lemon curd/creme, and the Salted Caramel Budino, which is a sweet Italian dish that has a rich/creamy custard. This version had salted caramel as the creamy custard.
Patiently waiting for our food.

I absolutely love the decor at this restaurant. It's minimalist with a few quotes here and there and simple chic touches. Very modern.

For our entrees, we shared two dishes.
The Crispy Calamari, which was bedded with arugula & grilled lemon and a lemon vinaigrette sauce drizzled all over.

And, the Short Rib Radiatori, which was with parmesan cream, fresh horseradish, wilted arugula, and herbed breadcrumbs.

Here's our delicious desserts.

The Bumbolini was alright. It's that lemon curd/creme sauce that really made the dish. Without it, the donuts were very ordinary. As for the Salted Caramel Bodini, it was way too salty. But I guess that's the thing with salted caramel. It's hit or miss. I didn't finish it up, but I was able to pack it up to go. And I must say, having it over the next few days in little bites here and there made up for it. I guess it's a dessert that you can't devour, only savor in small bites.
