Happy Baptism Sweet Child

Baby Alyssa has been welcomed into the Catholic Church! And what better way to get all the homies gathered together again!

Here are some of us at the end of the wonderful celebration.

The three little girlies all in a row. Too bad Wrenny wasn't here for this pic.

Chik-Fil-A and Boba

Had me a fun lunch break today. I drove all the way to Roasting Water in Fountain Valley since my work was fairly nearby. It was a quick 10 minute drive. I then stopped over for some Chik-Fil-A on the way back. What a glorious combination!

For my Roasting Water drink, I got myself the same Lava Lush, which is pomegranate & raspberry blended together and topped with pomegranate seed and raspberry. I also added red boba, which has a lovely crunchy touch to it all. Gen actually recommended it and I am loving it!

Baby Zoë and a New Boba Spot

Me and Zoë are going to check out a new boba spot, Roasting Waters. First, I need to wait until she wakes from her slumber.

And after I finally got her up, we went over to grab some boba! Although, I think she was still super sleepy. Hahaha. Check out her face!

As for Roasting Waters? The shop was really cute! And they used mugs they sell as deco.

There was even a cute fireplace used as deco with a bunch of bright and colorful thermoses and mugs on top.

Zoë eyed my drink the moment I got it! Hahaha. Of course, it didn't help that I put it right in front of her.

I got me the Tropical Storm, which is a Chill Me drink on their menu. It's strawberry, coconut and pineapple blended together and topped with strawberry & pineapple.

Since we were already out and about, I thought we'd take a trip over to Michaels to find some goodies for Zoë's first birthday. That's where I came across these gorgeous gold blocks spelling her name!

Itty Bitty Baby Succi

Awhile back, I wanted to see if growing my own succi from a petal would really work. So, I yanked one off and tested it out.

Fast forward to today.. look at the itty bitty succi!

Happy 2 Years Buddy!

Celebrating 2 years being married with my best friend, my buddy, the poophead, dookie, one and only, Jeric! Can't believe we've known each other for 15 years! Wouldn't have it any other way, that's for sure! And this year is one of the best since we have our little monkey with us.

I wanted to try this spot, North Italia, but mainly for their desserts. I wanted to try the Bambolini, which are Italian donuts on top of a layer of meyer lemon curd/creme, and the Salted Caramel Budino, which is a sweet Italian dish that has a rich/creamy custard. This version had salted caramel as the creamy custard.

Patiently waiting for our food.

I absolutely love the decor at this restaurant. It's minimalist with a few quotes here and there and simple chic touches. Very modern.

For our entrees, we shared two dishes.

The Crispy Calamari, which was bedded with arugula & grilled lemon and a lemon vinaigrette sauce drizzled all over.

And, the Short Rib Radiatori, which was with parmesan cream, fresh horseradish, wilted arugula, and herbed breadcrumbs.

Here's our delicious desserts.

The Bumbolini was alright. It's that lemon curd/creme sauce that really made the dish. Without it, the donuts were very ordinary. As for the Salted Caramel Bodini, it was way too salty. But I guess that's the thing with salted caramel. It's hit or miss. I didn't finish it up, but I was able to pack it up to go. And I must say, having it over the next few days in little bites here and there made up for it. I guess it's a dessert that you can't devour, only savor in small bites.

Owl Power!

Loving my owl thumb ring!

I totally love the dirty gold mixed with the black. Makes it look antique-like, but really cute with the owl face.

Happy Father's Day Dada!

Dada and Baby Zoë open his gift together.

First they start off by reading the card. Well, at least J reads the card. Zoë has herself busy with the envelope.

And Dada loves his gift!

Get Her to the Getty!

It's about that time for another Samoza to tie the knot! Geoff is proposing to An today! Yey!

He had it all setup over at the Getty Center and we're so honored that he asked us to come and witness this moment of their lives.

We wanted to find the most ideal spot to have him propose to her. So while she was off grabbing drinks and what not with her siblings, Geoff, Denise and Ninang Chi stood at where they thought would be the best spot and we took some photos of them.

They were actually watching us from a balcony above, so to have it not look so suspicious, we took a family photo in the same spot.

Then they all came down and rejoined us on the lawn and they took a photo with Denise, Ray, An, Geoff, Ninang Chi and An's nephew and nieces.

And then, slowly, everyone backed away and it was just Geoff and An and he got down on his one knee.

And of course, she said yes!

Afterwards, we all went our separate ways a bit. The majority of us went over to the bar while me, J and baby Zrye explored the museum.

Of course.. like Mother like Daughter! Check out the Zrye! She's touching art! Hahaha. Reminds me of when I was in High School and we had a trip to the Getty. Well, I got scolded more than once. One time for accidentally touching art and the rest for being way too close.

I think someone's hungry. Pwahahaha.

Anyhow, congrats Geoff an An! Can't wait for you big day! And the parties before! Haha.

Photo Shoot for Dada's Day

Here's the photo shoot I had with baby Zoë for our gift to Dada!

I wanted to give him something he can take to work and admire. Which ended up being photos of Zoë holding up D, A and D.

Here are some of the fun photos we took. These are just the silly ones that we aren't going to use for the photo.

Congrats to the Zunigas!

Woohoo! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Zuniga! Welcome to the married life.

We've come to cheer Mr. & Mrs. Zuniga as they make it down the aisle and say their "I DO's"!

We are so happy for these two and wish the Happily Ever After they deserve!

Got some cute photos in front of the court house too.

Their reception was really cute and quaint!

Their cake was awesome! They compromised and each chose their own design/theme for half of the cake. Chic on one side and Spiderman on the other! Hahaha. Love it.

Work it girl! Show that cake who's boss. Hahaha.

Congratulations again you guys! Cheers to your Happily Ever After!
