Lunch Date With the Homie

Gen took me out for lunch for my birthday and she brought along her little cutie pie.

I met them at Pick Up Stix near my workplace. I wish I could've taken a longer lunch though. Unfortunately, MemorialCare isn't too lenient on taking longer lunches.

When we were done eating we tried taking a group photo, but Penny couldn't keep her eyes off of me. Lol.

Dada Daughter Time

Administrative Day

Today's Administrative Day! Not that I really celebrate it or care much, but it was really nice to receive some orchids from the VP's!

Surprise!!

Jeric and the Samoza Fam Bam threw me a surprise birthday party! I had no idea, at least until we got to Geoff and An's to hang out, but needed to go to the club room first to check out a TV. Uh huh... Still, I was surprised and totally loved it!

Ms. Liz Lue got me this really pretty bundt cake!

All these lovely ladies helped out with the decor and prep and I'm thankful to call them family!

And of course, my loves. Thankful everyday for these two.

Of course, no party is complete without icing on the nose. Who's nose though?

Birthday Celebrations at Work

Got some wonderful birthday surprises at work today!

A co-worker gave me a bag of hot cheetos and a king size kit kat bar! Another, my cube mate, surprised me with a box of donuts! His message was the best part! Lastly, one of the VP's, Julie, got me a book, which I can't wait to crack open when Zoë gets older.

Also went out for lunch with a few co-workers. We hit up Super Mex and I ordered myself taquitos and a carne asada taco.

Derp's Babies Are Born

A Trip to LA

Took a trip over to LA today. Everyone met at Forest Lawn to visit Papa first.

Afterwards, we all went to Wilton to hang out with Mama.

Zoë's littlest Aunties (Ate Leah and Ate Mika) and Uncle (GoBro Travis) had fun playing with her.

Visiting the Zunigas

Time to visit the Zunigas.

The Zunigas have finally gotten settled into their new apartment and had us over for the UFC fight. While the boys were watching, the gals hung out and played with the kiddos.

Presto had fun playing with Zoë and the soccer ball.

Project Organizing

Since we have to keep the majority of our belongings in boxes, I had to setup some sort of way to track the items. So, I added letters/numbers to each box and kept a spreadsheet of the contents. That way, if I need to find something, I can do a search for it.

Originally, I lettered the boxes based on what kind of contents are in the box, but I think I should have just done A1, A2, A3... Oh well. Either way, I can search for the stuff.

Zoë's Nursery Fan

This is the fan that we decided on for Zoë's nursery. Isn't it the cutest? It's so Hawaiian island like.

Officially Out of the Apartment

We're finally fully officially out of the apartment. We moved the rest of our stuff today and did some deep cleaning so we can get our deposit back.

After all was done, the last step was to transfer the doggies. Look at them spending their last minutes at the apartment, free to roam around and play.

Lola Dinky Feeding Zoësters

Lola Dinky and Papa Eric came by today and Lola Dinky had fun feeding Zoë.

Hello Little Lady Bug

I've always loved lady bugs as a child. I used to catch them in my hand and then blow on them so they'd fly away. I swear, I think I've seen a gazillion of them as a child, but as an adult, I see them every once in a freaking blue moon. So, when I saw one this morning, I had to take a picture!

I super wish I had one of those micro lenses to get an up close and personal shot of the little bugger. Still, I was happy to see this pretty little one today.

Progress On Zoë's Nursery

Another update on Zoë's nursery. Since all the major painting is pretty much done, it's time to update the flooring. Apparently, installing engineered hardwood flooring is pretty darn easy!

We found out how to install it online and also did research and found that engineered hardwood is the best type of flooring to get.

I found the perfect color at Home Depot! It's called Birch Silvered American. We needed about 8 boxes to cover the entire floorspace. And just like that, Jeric has been spending every night after work installing the floors. It took him about three days.

The Nursery

I wanted a really cute design for Zoë's nursery and found this cute one with triangles online. Of course, it was going to be hard as heck, but still, we're going to pull it off.

Definitely requires a lot of painters tape and precise measuring.

First, we need to stagger the heights of all the triangles by creating even horizontal lines.

Then, we gotta tape up diagonal lines.

Or so we thought. But nope, we were wrong. We actually needed to do individual diagonal lines and cut them at each horizontal line. Yikes, this is def going to take a long time.

I absolutely love how its coming along though!

Hanging Out at Geoff & An's

We hung out at Geoff and An's today. The boys were working on some group collab for their clothing company. They actually had some merch and scheduled a photo shoot.

Those were the shots that the girlies hung around for. We eventually went back to the apartment while the boys stayed out and took more shots.

Meanwhile, the girlies hung out and Zoë learned how to climb up the stairs with Ninang Denise!

Celebratory Dinner

Having a celebratory dinner today. To commence us all living together. We had a garage sale over the weekend and were able to make some money for a scrumptious dinner. Beforehand, Zoë hung out with Uncle Chris.

We all decided to eat at Lucille's BBQ for din din.
