Now on the menu? Unlimited kimchi fried rice! I only had one bowl though and even then I didn't finish it. The meat was just way better with radish slices!

Superbowl Potluck at Work
I just started working this week, but I was included in the Superbowl Potluck! I didn't really have time to make something, so I just brought a few veggie platters.
The potluck went from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm and since our department is huge, we had it setup where each collaboration area would be a set for the type of food. There was Main Course, Chips & Dip, Cold Dishes, Sweets and Treats and then the last 2 areas for Veggies.
The only one who brought in some deco was one of the VP's, Kevin. And he's a huge Raiders fan, so that's all we saw.. lol! He was also totally decked out in Raider gear. Hahaha. He even asked me why I wasn't wearing a jersey. I told him I didn't have a team and he was like, that's boring! LOL! This is the VP mind you!

My fav was the pulled pork on hawaiian rolls! I wish I had gotten two before it ran out.
Anyhow, it was pretty chill. The Director donated his Wii and had it setup in one of the conference rooms and in the another conference room was a buncha board games and hula hoops. No one touched the hula hoop. There were also beach balls that were flying across the tops of the cubicles. I think people got in trouble though, cuz eventually I didn't see anymore and saw the Director walking with one every now and then and handing it over to girls in the collaboration area.
So far.. work is still awesome!

New Job!
So, I got laid off back at the beginning of December. Apparently the company I worked for, EdgaMAC, made a grave error in scheduling contracts. 3 of their major contracts have ended and the new ones that were set to start soon experienced heavy delay in start dates. Which meant, they needed to lay off folks. And since my position isn't productive against contract work, I was one of the one's they choose. They did say they loved my work ethic and that this was only a temporary lay off and that they hope to get me back working with them soon.
HA! As if I'd stick around and wait. That was the worst time to get laid off. Right before the holidays! Anyhow, I didn't fret. I knew my skills were marketable and that I'd land a new job in no time.
Well, I so did! Not only did I land a job, but it's in a tremendously more stable company, MemorialCare! I landed a position at the corporate office in Fountain Valley. I work in the IS department, which has, roughly, about 400 employees! So awesome.

Anyhow, today's my first day. And so far it is wonderful. I don't have to ask every time I get up from my desk. I had to at EdgeMAC and that was so horrible. Could you imagine? Every bathroom break? Every time you wanted to stretch your legs? This job also allows your phones on your desk. EdgeMAC? You couldn't even have it out anywhere near your desk! If you needed to make a call, you needed to get up and step far away from your desk.. which is a problem that coincides with me having to ask permission every time I step away from my desk. I'm seriously glad they laid me off!

Lunch Date With Jeric
I had to pick-up a check that I left in Jeric's car. Since that was the case, we decided to meet up for lunch!

We originally wanted In-N-Out, but boy was that line way too long. We ended up going to Chik-Fil-A instead, which was a great choice! We both got spicy chicken sandwiches and an order of fries. Yumm! I wish we can have lunch together like once a week.
