Met up with the girls at Spoon House, which is a European/Japanese fusion restaurant. A lot of the dishes are basically spaghetti with a Japanese twist!
Some of the girls have eaten here before and about half has never tried it, one of them being me.
The spot was a bit of a hole-in-the-wall with limited seating and we needed our entire group to be there to be seated as well. So it did take a bit before we were seated.
They served us delicious baguettes cut into slices to start.
As for entrees, I ordered the Japanese Clam Sauce dish with both types of mushrooms and shiso.
It wasn't too bad. But the clam sauce was way clammy. Hahaha. Sometimes it was quite overwhelming.
I did have leftovers and took them home to Jeric (he said it was delish!)
There was also a huge surprise for lunch! Nina's preggers!! She's gonna have her second baby! Congrats!!
After lunch at Spoon House we all headed over to Honey Boba for some boba drinks and to sit and chat a bit.
I've never had Honey Boba before and I wanted something very fruity so I ordered the Strawberry Smoothie. Yummm.
Also totally loved the decor, very posh!
The girls (missing Jenn).
Karen had to leave to meet up Anthony for Reese's swim class and then Nina had to head out too. So it was just me, Gen and Joan.
We wanted some pastries, so we hit up 85 degrees C.
Boy was that place packed! Me and Gen got in right away, but then there was a rush of people while Jonah was still looking for parking. They actually had to hold of people from entering for awhile. Guess it was way overcrowded and over capacity. Sadly Joan had to wait in that line for a bit.
Eventually though, we all got in and got our bread! Joan suggested trying this Mocha flavored bread that has a nutella type filling and walnuts. So I got a few of those. I also wanted to try this Milk bread shaped like a sunflower and then got one regular blueberry flaky pastry.
And that was our girly lunch date! Until next time girlies!!
